Privacy Policy
Weight Log With Friends · Effective September 3, 2026
The short version: we don't collect your data. Everything you enter stays in your own iCloud account, and we have no servers, no analytics, and no ads.
Data storage
Weight Log With Friends stores your weight entries, height, and preferences in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service. This data lives in your private iCloud database, which only you (and Apple, per Apple's privacy policy) can access. The developer operates no servers and has no ability to read, collect, or share your data.
Sharing with friends
If you choose to share your progress, your weight entries are shared through Apple's iCloud sharing directly with the specific people you invite. You can stop sharing at any time from the app, which revokes their access. The developer is never a party to this sharing and cannot see shared data.
What we don't do
- No accounts: the app uses your existing iCloud sign-in.
- No analytics or tracking of any kind.
- No advertising and no data sales.
- No third-party services receive your data.
Purchases
The optional Premium unlock is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details. Purchase records are managed by Apple under your Apple Account.
Notifications
Weigh-in reminders, if you enable them, are local notifications scheduled on your device. They never leave your device.
Data deletion
You can delete individual entries by swiping in the app, or delete everything at once from Settings → Data → Delete All My Data inside the app. To also remove the app itself and any residual iCloud storage, go to iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
